This page describes what happens to your data when you use Import Duty Calculator. The short version: the calculator collects nothing, and the only personal data this site ever sees is what you choose to type into the contact form.

The calculator

The product group, country of origin, commodity code and values you enter run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to this site, stored, or shared with anyone. Closing the tab or reloading the page clears it.

One detail worth stating plainly, because it is the only exception: when you look up a commodity code, your browser downloads the tariff data file for that chapter of the tariff, for example the file covering all clothing codes. That is an ordinary request for a static file, the same as downloading an image, and the code itself is never sent anywhere. It does mean the hosting logs show that a file was requested, in the same way they show any page being loaded.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits and page views without cookies, without any persistent identifier, and without tracking you across other sites. It reports aggregate numbers only, such as page views, load times and country-level location, and nothing tied to you individually.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own, and does not use any advertising, retargeting, or third-party tracking scripts.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent as an email to the person who runs this site, using Cloudflare's own email-sending infrastructure. That message is not stored in any database. It exists only as an email in the inbox it is sent to, the same as if you had emailed directly. It is used only to reply to you, and is not shared with anyone else or used for marketing.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare's network, which processes standard web request data such as IP address in order to serve pages and protect against abuse, in line with Cloudflare's own privacy practices. This site does not access or retain that data itself.

Your rights and contact

Because the calculator stores nothing, there is generally no personal data held about you to access, correct or erase. If you have sent a message through the contact form and would like the email deleted, or you have any question about this policy, get in touch and it will be dealt with.
